DECEMBER NEWSLETTER

Dear Parents,

December is here!  As we celebrate Advent this month, many spiritual activities have been planned for all of our classes.  Students will be participating in classroom activities in addition to group prayer services, daily meditations, Advent Angel activities, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and the Sharing Basket program.  We will have Special Liturgies during Advent on December 8 (Second Grade) and December 19 (First Grade). Please encourage your child to get involved with the Sharing Basket program.     We appreciate your cooperation with this worthwhile cause.

We are now approaching the mid-term of the second quarter here at school.  If you have concerns about your child’s progress, I encourage you to call the teachers for a conference.  It is important that we have a strong communication between parent and teacher in order to provide your child with the best education.

December is a busy month here at Blessed Sacrament.  Grades PK - Four will perform their annual Christmas Play on Friday, December 15 at 1:45 and 7:00 p.m.   All parents are welcome.  Our Christmas Band Concert will be on Wednesday evening, December 31 at 7:30 p.m.

Friday, December 8 is our annual Santa’s Workshop.  All classes will have the opportunity to shop at this event.  Thank you to our PTO for sponsoring this event and to the chairperson, Susan Brennan.

Our last day before Christmas Break is Tuesday,  December 19 with a Noon dismissal.  December 19 will also be a NON-UNIFORM DAY.  There will be no after-school (Latch-Key) program on this day.  We return to school after Christmas break on Wednesday, January 3.

Please check the December calendar for all of the special events during the month.  Please call the office if you have any questions about upcoming events.  I appreciate your care, concern, and support this school year.

Sincerely,

Miss Hatch
