Academics
Our curriculum challenges students, faculty, and administration to exceed beyond the standard state-mandated academic requirements in Illinois and to expect more when it comes to learning and academic achievements. The curriculum design is intentionally challenging and created with a focus on teaching children how to think and problem solve for themselves, so they are better prepared for high school and a more challenging curriculum.
Blessed Sacrament’s curriculum for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade includes instruction in science, math, reading, religion, english, spelling, computer science and coding, and social studies. Students in primary grade – preschool through 4th grade – also are taught Spanish.
Eighth grade students at Blessed Sacrament may qualify to enroll in Honors Algebra I, which gives them the opportunity to become familiar with advanced math principles before entering high school.
